I think everyone has seen the famous Cape Cod Screwball Bracelet... you know, the single silver ball on a plain silver wire. Also known as the Cape Cod Bracelet or Dennis Bracelet, it is beautiful in it's simplicity. The original design created by jewelry artist John Carey was born in a small shop in Dennis, Ma called "Eden Hand Arts". They still make the bracelets, and you can only get them there... not on the web, not through the mail... only in the shop located at the intersection of Route 6A, Dr. Lord's Road, and Sesuit Neck Rd., approximately 1 mile west of the intersection of Rtes. 134 and 6A or approximately 1 mile east of the Dennis Post Office.

If you want an original Cape Cod Bracelet, Eden Hand Arts will be re-opening for the season on May 10th, 2012. You can find more information on their simple web site, http://vst.cape.com/~rch/eden.html or call them at, 508-385-9708... just don't try to order anything, they don't do business like that.

You'll have to visit them in person to purchase a bracelet, but you were looking for an excuse to come down to the Cape anyway, weren't you. ;)

"Spring" is the theme for the UWIB blog hop this month, but I'm having a tough time coming up with something to blog about.

It's hard to think about Spring when the morning shows frost on the grass and temps in the 30's... but the birdies are still singing up a storm, and the sun rises bright in a blue, blue sky. I know it's getting here... just in tiny steps.






This is actually a hard time of the year for me... I'm prone to depression in the spring. I feel tired all the time, and I'm cold, and definitely lazy, so even though I have plenty of things I should be doing, or making, I'm eating and sleeping too much... is that what spring fever is?

I know it's not much, but I DID at least change my blog background to look more "springy". ;)

So, I know this is kind of rambling/blathering, but my fellow UWIB gals are a great bunch, and I'm gonna go and visit their blogs and see what they've come up with. :)
